BENI, March 30: The ponds and resting platforms with strategic and historical significance located in different places of Myagdi district are in want of conservation.
Several of these historic ponds and resting platforms are found destroyed in course of constructing the rural roads. Even those that are spared from the mad road extension drive that is underway in the district these days are in a state of neglect.
Six ponds of Pashupatinath temple have disappeared
It is said more than two dozen of these structures in the district are craving for conservation. The ponds and resting places along sides the rural trails are believed to be constructed during in the medieval period.
The resting platforms at Jyamrukkot, Takamkot, Dholthan, among other historic places in the district are in a dilapidated condition. RSS
