The Chayden monastery inside the Lomangthang Durbar got severe damages.It is said the Durbar and monastery were built in the 15th century.
The Annapurna Conservation Area Project has informed that the historical buildings were in dire need of reconstruction and repair. But, the government did not release adequate budget for these in the previous years too.
Chief District Officer Narahari Baral said the Durbar and the monastery got the damage amounting hundreds of thousands rupees.
He added that 312 houses and buildings combined received damages while 60 houses were flattened in the district. RSS
