KATHMANDU, August 18: Himalaya Airlines has announced daily direct flight service to Dammam, in Saudi Arabia.
Issuing a statement on Thursday, the airline said the daily direct service to Dammam will start from September 1. "Commencement of daily direct flight is definitely going to ease the travel for thousands of Nepali who have been paying hefty ticket prices as well as spending more travel time while commuting between Saudi Arabia and Kathmandu," read the statement. According to the company, the flight will depart from Tribhuwan International Airport at 22:30 hours (local time) and will arrive at King Fadh International Airport, Dammam, at 00:50 hours (local time) the next day. Similarly, the return flight will depart from Fadh International Airport, Dammam, at 01:50 hours (local time) and will arrive at Tribhuwan International Airport, Kathmandu, at 09:15 hours (local time), according to the statement
The airline is offering round trip fights to Dammam from Kathmandu at Rs 38,000 (exclusive of applicable taxes).
