KATHMANDU, June 19: Six locations across Nepal remain blocked today due to rainfall-induced floods and landslides.
According to the police headquarters, the roads that were blocked in four other places have been reopened to one-way traffic. Police spokesperson Deputy Inspector General (DIG) Binod Ghimire, said that efforts are ongoing to convert the roads that were open to one-way traffic into two-way traffic and to reopen the blocked roads.
In Sindhupalchok, the Araniko Highway has been blocked at three locations—Kodari, Larcha, and Koplang—due to landslides in Bhotekoshi.

Similarly, floods have blocked the Mahendra Highway at Binayi Tribeni Rural Municipality-1 in Nawalparasi Bardaghat Susta East. The area is experiencing long vehicle queues and stranded passengers.
In Myagdi, a landslide at Rupse in Annapurna Rural Municipality-3 has obstructed the Beni-Jomsom road.
Additionally, in Dolpa, the Bheri Corridor at Chhalghat in Tripurasundari Municipality-1 is completely blocked due to flooding. Police report that clearing work is ongoing.
The Rabi–Rake–Bhetetar road in Sangurigadhi Rural Municipality-5 of Dhankuta has been opened for one-way traffic. Similarly, the BP Highway at Banjokhet in Dhulikhel Municipality-11 of Kavre, which was blocked by flooding, has also been opened one-way.
Likewise, the Narayanghat–Mugling road in Chitwan, which was blocked by landslides at Tuin Khola and Namsi Bridge in Ichchhakamana Rural Municipality, is now open for one-way traffic.
The Kaligandaki Corridor in Gulmi, blocked by a landslide at Barlaba in Kaligandaki Rural Municipality-6, has been cleared for one-way traffic.
Police also reported that the Jumla–Mugu road, blocked by a landslide at Chulel village in Sinja Rural Municipality-2 of Jumla, is now open for one-way traffic.
