Highway obstructed after bus kills youth

POKHARA, July 15: Relatives obstructed the Bijaypur section of the Prithvi highway Wednesday after a bus hit and killed a youth. The relatives of the deceased are demanding compensation.



A bus (Na 2 Kha 3699) hit a motorcycle (Ga 2 Kha 7164) that the youth was riding at Uttamchowk in Pokhara on Tuesday night. The motorcyclist, Nil Bahadur KC, 26, of Pokhara-12 died in the accident.



Police said talks are under way at the District Police Office to provide compensation to the bereaved family and resume traffic movement along the highway.
