KATHMANDU, Feb 18: The high-level commission formed to investigate gold smuggling has sought details from the inspectors general of Nepal Police and Armed Police Force (APF) about the necessary evidence and other details.
In a session held at Singha Durbar, the commission gathered information from IGP Basanta Kunwar of Nepal Police and Raju Aryal, IGP of APF.
The commission took information from them when it was making final preparations to submit the report on gold smuggling.
Earlier, statements were taken from former speaker Krishna Bahadur Mahara, his son Rahul Mahara, CIB chief AIG Kiran Bajracharya and others. “If the IGPs have any kind of relevant information about the matter, they have been asked to provide the details,” said a source at the commission.
