After it was found that the UWTC was advertising without permission, the digital hoarding board was closed by the metropolis.
Sandeep Hirachan STR Advertising Pvt Ltd, the operator of the digital billboard, knocked on the doors of the Patan High Court demanding that the decision of the metropolis to close down the hoarding board be annulled as it is against the agreement made with him. Following preliminary hearings on the writ petition filed by Hirachan, the bench of Judge Shyamji Pradhan asked both parties to appear before the court on Wednesday. According to the court, after hearing the arguments of both the writ petitioner and the metropolis, it will decide whether to continue the interim order or not.
The KMC, which is running a campaign to remove all illegal structures against the design approval, has also started removing hoarding boards.
