Here are things that are still not allowed in Kathmandu Valley

KATHMANDU, July 16: The district administration offices in the Kathmandu Valley – Kathmandu, Bhaktapur and Lalitpur – have decided to extend the ongoing prohibitory orders by 10 more days. The newly enforced prohibitory orders will be effective till July 25.

KATHMANDU, July 16: The district administration offices in the Kathmandu Valley – Kathmandu, Bhaktapur and Lalitpur – have decided to extend the ongoing prohibitory orders by 10 more days. The newly enforced prohibitory orders will be effective till July 25.


Although the government has eased the prohibitory orders to make life of ordinary people easier, there are still some restrictions in place. Here is the list of things that are still not allowed in the Valley:


•    All kinds of public gatherings

•    Gyms, swimming pools, cinema halls, party palaces, dance bars, salons, beauty   parlors, futsals etc  


•    Organizing rallies and demonstrations, picnics etc


•    Organizing large-scale religious and cultural activities, jatras, festivals etc


•    Conducting physical classes in schools and colleges


•    Vehicles that are used to ship daily essentials and other goods cannot be operated between 9 AM to 11 AM and 4 PM to 7 PM


Other businesses and stores can remain open till 7 PM.
