KATHMANDU, Aug 18: Monsoon is currently affecting the country. According to the Meteorological Forecasting Division (MFD,) the monsoon-low pressure line is also around the average place.
Due to the influence of the monsoon winds, the weather is normal to completely cloudy throughout the country on Sunday morning. According to the bulletin issued by the MFD, in the morning, there has been light to moderate rain along with thunder/lightning at many places of Bagmati, Gandaki and Lumbini provinces and a few places in the remaining provinces.
Gandaki, Lumbini, Karnali and Sudurpaschim provinces are expected to be mostly cloudy while the remaining provinces are expected to be generally cloudy.

The MFD has forecast that light to moderate rains with thunder/lightning is likely at some places in Lumbini, Karnali and Sudurpaschim provinces and in a few places of Koshi, Bagmati and Gandaki provinces and one or two places in the remaining provinces.
According to the MFD, there is a possibility of heavy rain at one or two places in Gandaki, Lumbini and Karnali provinces.
Likewise, it is expected to remain partly to mostly cloudy throughout the country and light to moderate rain along with thunder/lightning at some places of all the provinces on Sunday night.
Furthermore, heavy rain is likely at one or two places in Madhesh, Bagmati, Gandaki, Lumbini and Karnali provinces, as mentioned in the bulletin.
