KATHMANDU, May 29: The hearing on a writ petition regarding the formation of the Koshi provincial government was postponed on Wednesday.

The petition, filed by former Chief Minister of Koshi Province Kedar Karki, was scheduled to be heard by a joint bench of Supreme Court Justices Manoj Sharma and Sharanga Subedi on Wednesday. However, the hearing could not take place due to time constraints.

Kedar Karki had filed the petition in the Supreme Court, challenging the appointment of Hikmat Bahadur Karki as unconstitutional. Citing Article 168 of the Constitution, Karki argued that his removal from the position of chief minister was unconstitutional.
