Health worker diagnosed with Swine flu in Jajarkot

JAJARKOT, April 20: A health worker engaged in treating a patient at Painka VDC, one of the VDCs affected by seasonal flu outbreak in the district, has been infected with swine flu.

The infected is Assistant Health Worker Ram Chandra Giri who had fallen ill at the affected area, Painka. Giri had fallen sick in course of treating a patient on April 14.


Also the In-charge of the Painka Health Post, Giri was taken to Kathmandu for treatment after his treatment was not possible here in the district. He is said to be in normal health now.

The death toll due to the swine flu infection in Jajarkot since one month of the outbreak of the disease has reached 24. RSS
