KATHMANDU, April 9: The Ministry of Health and Population (MoHP) has recommended to the COVID-19 Crisis Management Committee (CCMC) to prohibit any gathering of more than 25 people at a place.
The health ministry decided to make this recommendation to the CCMC as a precautionary measure against the rising number of COVID-19 cases in recent days in Nepal and neighboring India.
A meeting of the CCMC is expected to take a decision in this regard later today.
The MoHP has also recommended stopping physical classes of schools and colleges.
Nepal recorded 332 new cases of COVID-19 on Thursday, taking the national COVID-19 case tally to 279,100.
