Health ministry projects Nepal’s COVID-19 cases to surpass 600,000 with daily cases of more than 11,000 by next three months

KATHMANDU, April 13: The Ministry of Health and Population (MoHP) has projected Nepal’s COVID-19 case tally to surpass the 600,000 mark with a daily rise of more than 11,000 by the upcoming three months.

KATHMANDU, April 13: The Ministry of Health and Population (MoHP) has projected Nepal’s COVID-19 case tally to surpass the 600,000 mark with a daily rise of more than 11,000 by the upcoming three months.


Speaking at a press meet in the capital on Tuesday, Health Minister Hridayesh Tripathi maintained that Nepal could witness a daily rise of more than 11,000 cases and the national COVID-19 case tally could surpass the 600,000 mark by the next three months. “The projection of the ministry is based on the current trend of the COVID-19 infection in the country,” he added.
