Health institutions designated for COVID-19 treatment asked to maintain record of current address of people undergoing PCR tests

KATHMANDU, Dec 30: The Ministry of Health and Population (MoHP) has directed all the COVID-19 designated hospitals and authorities concerned to keep record of current address of people visiting them to  provide their swab samples for COVID-19 test.

KATHMANDU, Dec 30: The Ministry of Health and Population (MoHP) has directed all the COVID-19 designated hospitals and authorities concerned to keep record of current address of people visiting them to  provide their swab samples for COVID-19 test.


According to a press statement issued by Health Emergency and Disaster Management Unit under the Health Ministry, most of the COVID-19 designated hospitals have been found writing addresses of people as per their will due to which the Ministry is facing challenges in contact tracing of COVID-19 patients.

The Ministry has also warned the laboratories, health institutions and concerned authorities of punishments if they fail to provide current address of people undergoing PCR tests.
