Head of state should not be dragged into controversy, NCP leader says

KATHMANDU, Nov 25: The ruling Nepal Communist Party (NCP) leader Devendra Poudel has said that any issues related to the Head of the State should not be dragged into controversy.

KATHMANDU, Nov 25: The ruling Nepal Communist Party (NCP) leader Devendra Poudel has said that any issues related to the Head of the State should not be dragged into controversy. 


Speaking in a face to face program organized by the Reporters' Club here Sunday, leader Poudel said that the process of purchasing vehicles for VVIPs was normal and regular therefore it should not be exaggerated.

He also urged the opposition party to raise the genuine voices and issues of the public rather than playing on such minor issues. 


Similarly, Nepali Congress leader Deepak Khadka seconded Poudel’s statement and added that it was not a serious issue. 


On another note, he blamed the government for failing to ensure better service delivery in nine months tenure. 


Likewise, lawmaker of Federal Socialist Forum Nepal Pradeep Yadav said that his party suggested the concerned sides not to buy such costly and luxurious vehicles. RSS
