HDCS marks its silver jubilee in Nepal

LALITPUR, Nov 7: Human Development and Community Services (HDCS) marked its silver jubilee on Monday.

LALITPUR, Nov 7: Human Development and Community Services (HDCS) marked its silver jubilee on Monday.



Vice President Nanda Bahadur Pun inaugurated the function in capital.



According to HDCS, their projects are mostly located outside the Kathmandu Valley in order to provide services to people with low income who have limited access to care and opportunities they need. 



HDCS is a Christian NGO that works in health, education, and community development in Nepal.



HDCS has provided free health services in Lamjung Hospital worth Rs 9 million and in Chahurjari worth Rs 8 million in the last fiscal year 2015/2016.



       More than 2 million people have benefitted from the free health services provided by HDCS over 25 years.

Similarly, HDCS is also coordinating in education sector. In the last fiscal year, it provided scholarship equivalent to Rs 2.5 million to poor and helpless students. Further, it is also working for the physically and mentally disabled people. Community-based rehabilitation programs are also being conducted for their rehabilitation.
