KATHMANDU, July 10: The Hyolmo Society of America (HSA), in collaboration with youths from Helambu, has extended financial support to the victims of the Yangri-Larke landslide and flood.
HSA provided Rs 25,000 each to eight families who lost their loved ones due to the devastated landslide and flood last month.

Both the Helambu and Panchpokari Thangpal Rural Municipality were largely hit by the flood and landslide on the same day that swept away roads, bridges and human settlements.
According to Tashi Lama Hyolmo, chairperson of Pachpokhari Thangpal Rural Municipality, roads and suspension bridges have been swept away and are gradually being repaired. “Help is what we need. Lots of choppers are seen flying in our sky but only a few have helped us.”
Earlier, the same team had provided food supplies, blankets and cash to the people of Timbu and Halde of Helambu Rural Municipality-1.
