Gurung moves SC

KATHMANDU, Jan 17: A day after being sacked from the post of member secretary of the National Trust for Nature Conservation (NTNC), Juddha Bahadur Gurung on Tuesday moved the Supreme Court (SC) challenging the sacking.



The sacked NTNC member secretary Gurung filed a writ petition against Forests Minister Mohammad Wakil Musalman seeking his reinstatement.[break]



Minister Musalman had sacked Gurung accusing him of embezzling NTNC funds. Gurung was sacked by Musalman, who is also the chairman of the NTNC, earlier, as well. However, Gurung´s sacking was stayed by the SC.
