Leader Gurung carded two-over 37 on the front nine and one-under 34 on the back nine. He shot birdies on the eighth, 10th and 12th holes against bogeys on the fourth and 16th holes and a double bogey on the ninth.[break]
Delhi Golf Society´s amateur Singh carded two-over 72. He shot three-over 38 on the front nine and one-under 34 on the back nine. Singh suffered bogeys on the first and fourth holes and a double bogey on the second hole on the front nine. He shot the only birdie of the front nine on the eighth hole. On the back nine, he shot birdies on the 10th, 15th and 18th holes against bogeys on the 12th and 16th holes.
Another Indian golfer Trishul Chinnappa and Sri Lanka´s Armugam Masanam are joint third with the scores of five-over 75.
Nepal Golf Association General Secretary Tashi Ghale ended the day in the fifth place with a score of 77. Mohammed Liton of Bangladesh shared the sixth place with Nepal No 2 Dinesh Prajapati and Kamal Thapa with a score of eight-over 78. NJ Rayamajhi of Nepal and Indian golfers Samarth Dwivedi and Prince Khajotia are in the ninth position with the scores of nine-over 79.
Nepali golfers Kamal Tamang and Tirtha Paudel are tied for the 12the position with Mohammad Sobham and Mohammad Sagor of Bangladesh at 10-over 80.
It was a horrible day for Nepal No 1 Bikash Bogati as he carded 13-over 83. He made a brilliant start carding one-over 36 on the front nine but faltered on the back nine. Nepal No 4 Bishnu Sharma carded 12-over 82.
In the team championship, Lakhan Singh and Prince Kajotia of DGS shared the top spot with a total score of 11-over 151.
Singh and Kajotia are three strokes ahead of another Indian team of Samarth Dwivedi and Trishul Chinnappa (154).
Bangladesh ´A´ team of Mohammad Sagor and Keon Jun Youn is third at 158 while Nepal ´B´ team of Dinesh Prajapati and Bishnu Sharma is tied for fourth with the Sri Lankan pair of Arumugam Masanam and Chanakya Perera at 20-over 160.
Altogether eight teams -- two each from Nepal, India and Bangladesh and one each from Sri Lanka and Bhutan -- are participating in the team competition, which concludes on Monday.
In the individual section, 47 amateurs are competing in the three-day competition. Cut will be applied after 36 holes and only the top 33 and ties will play the final round on Tuesday.
