Gurkha settlement office opens

KATHMANDU, Oct 5: A new Gurkha Settlement Office has been set up at Man Bhawan, Lalitpur, to provide assistance to ex-British Gurkha servicemen and their eligible dependents who aspire to apply for settlement in the United Kingdom, the British Embassy said in a statement on Monday.



The office aims at providing essential information to prepare the ex-servicemen and their dependents for life in the UK, the statement said. The office came into operation from Monday.
