SSP Hemanta Bahadur Pal of Metropolitan Police Commissioner´s Office, who is also the head of the committee formed to investigating the case, said though he has been denying his involvement, the facts and medical reports support our suspicions that he poisoned the food, which was brought from a reputed fast food joint. "We are still working on the case and trying to find out more details regarding the plan and will carry out further enquires," SSP Pal said.

"There was enough room for suspicion as the medical test clearly supports the accusation, but we are trying to find out more about the case," a police officer investigating the case said. He also informed that detailed investigation report will be made public within a couple of days.

The three-member police investigation committee includes SSP Pal, SP Narayan Khadka and SP Hari Pal.

Last Tuesday, Bhaskar had offered food to four policemen providing security to jailed former minister Gupta, who was hospitalized afternoon at Himal Hospital, Gyaneshwar, after developing blood pressure-related problems. The food included chicken-based fast food from Kentucky Fried Chicken (KFC) and chowmein and carbonated drinks from a Lalitpur restaurant.
