KATHMANDU, Aug. 6: Gumu Khola Bhyakure Hydropower Project is issuing 500,000 units of its initial public offering (IPO) to the general public and project-affected residents.
The hydropower company has appointed RBB Merchant Banking as the issue and sales manager for the IPO.

An agreement to this effect was signed by the hydropower company's Chairperson, Mitra Bahadur Shrestha, and RBB Merchant's Chief Executive Officer, Badri Prasad Pyakurel.
The Gumu Khola Bhyakure Hydropower Project is located in Kalinchok Rural Municipality of Dolakha district. Developed as a run-of-the-river project, it has a total installed capacity of 950 kilowatts.
The project is expected to generate about 5.6 gigawatt-hours (GWh) of electricity annually. The electricity generated by the project will be connected to the Nepal Electricity Authority's Singati Substation through a 33 kV transmission line, according to the company.
