Grounded NAC narrow body returns to Kathmandu with 87 passengers onboard

Nepal Airlines Corporation's (NAC) narrow-body aircraft with call sign 9N-AKX landed in Kathmandu from the Saudi Arabian city of Dammam with 87 passengers on board, after maintenance.

KATHMANDU, Feb 25: Nepal Airlines Corporation's (NAC) narrow-body aircraft with call sign 9N-AKX landed in Kathmandu from the Saudi Arabian city of Dammam with 87 passengers on board, after maintenance.


NAC spokesperson Ramesh Paudel said that the aircraft landed at Tribhuvan International Airport at 10:20 AM on Tuesday. The plane had been grounded in Dammam since last Saturday after encountering a technical issue immediately upon landing. Following two days of maintenance, it returned with passengers.

"The same aircraft is scheduled to fly to the Malaysian capital of Kuala Lumpur this evening," Paudel said.


Meanwhile, NAC's aircraft with call sign 9N-AKW, which was sent to China for a C-check on February 2, is set to return on Tuesday night.
