Top Spin lists all the hottest singles for you!
David Guetta, featuring Sia – She Wolf (Falling To Pieces)
The first time around, it was the song “Titanium” that created quite a stir and the duo are back together to rock the dance floor again. David Guetta’s tied up with Sia again for “She Wolf” and the beat is very Guetta-ish but in a good way, of course. Sia’s powerful vocals add charisma to the song, and the end product is amazing. This definitely goes into you iPod!
Rihanna – Diamonds
After all the rumors of RiRi getting back with her ex, Chris Brown, who’s already broken up with his current girlfriend, allegedly for Rihanna, she’s out with her brand new single and it’s all about “Diamonds” this time around. Leading the as-yet-untitled seventh album is this single for which Brown has already complimented her. Sonically, it marks a departure for RiRi. In other words, end of songs about failed relationships and moving on to positive themes. The mid-tempo beat and the song’s instrumentation feel like it’s just enough, foregoing the cluttered sound of her sometimes-overstuffed production. Melodically, no doubt, it’s one of Ri’s strongest efforts.

Conor Maynard, featuring Ne-Yo – Turn Around
An English singer from Brighton, Conor Maynard rose to success in 2012 when he was nominated for, and subsequently won, MTV’s Brand New for 2012 award. For his brand new release, he’s teamed up with R&B star Ne-Yo who’s added more zing to the song. The upbeat and fun track is danceable, but with certain dancing styles, and is totally easy listening, if you’re already used to listening to some heavy electronic cum house music.
Bruno Mars – Locked Out of Heaven
There’s something about Bruno Mars, his songs and his videos. They somehow tend to take us back in the past, and this song does the same. “Locked Out of Heaven” is the latest release of the Hawaii-born crooner as the lead single from his sophomore album “Unorthodox Jukebox,” due in December. Produced by Mark Ronson, it’s a groovy upbeat tune that certainly reminds you of The Police in a way, like some reviewers pointed out. Bruno’s vocal is amazing, the melody is good, and the chorus is ‘in the money,’ baby!
Adele – Skyfall
Rumors had been circulating for about a year that Adele would be the artiste to perform the coveted 007 series theme for the latest James Bond film – “Skyfall”. Apparently, they were right! Co-written by the Grammy-winning singer, the title track also marks her return to the music scene with a brand new offering for this year. Adele’s powerful vocals and the smooth music mold into a perfect single!
