Greaves transit mixer now in Nepal

KATHMANDU, June 16: Morang Auto Works, the authorized distributor for Greaves Cotton Limited, one of India´s leading engineering companies with significant presence in international markets, has introduced transit mixer in Nepal, according to a press release issued by Morang Auto Works Tuesday. Speaking at the launch of the mixer, Sandip Chachan, spokesperson of Greaves Cotton, expressed his confidence that bringing advanced technology in the construction sector will scale up the infrastructure development scenario in Nepal. Greaves transit mixer is a new addition to the Greaves range of products like gensets, diesel engines and agro equipment.



Greaves, a 13.5-billion-Indian-rupee multinational company, is one of the leading engineering companies in India, with core competencies in diesel/petrol engines and infrastructure equipment. The company has ten manufacturing units that produce world class products.





Himalayan Bank´s 22nd branch



KATHMANDU, June 16: Himalayan Bank Limited opened a branch in Swayambhu Tuesday, its 22nd branch so far. Bank Chairman Manoj Bahadur Shrestha inaugurated the new branch.



The new branch will extend various deposit and credit products like Bishesh Savings Account, Himal Savings Account, Normal Savings Account, Jumbo Term Deposit, Recurring Savings Account, and other regular services like fixed deposits, business loans, consumer loans, locker service, SMS banking, Internet banking, credit and debit card services, letter of credit, draft and traveler´s check.



Speaking on the occasion, Shrestha said extension of innovative, improvised and modern products and services to customers has always remained the bank´s priority. This, he added, would contribute toward the betterment of Nepal´s banking sector.





NMB Bank opens ninths branch



KATHMANDU, June 16: NMB Bank has brought its ninth branch into operation from Monday.



According to a statement issued by the bank, the newly opened branch in Thaiba of Lalitpur district, was inaugurated by NMB Chairman Pawan Kumar Golya. The statement further said that the bank is planning to open two more branches within the current fiscal year so that the total number of branches reaches 11. The bank is committed to continuing the process of opening more branches to expand basic banking services to rural areas in the country, according to the statement.



The bank recently extended additional services like Nepal Telecom´s Postpaid Mobile Service and PSTN online payment through the bank.





DCBL Bank opens new branch



KATHMANDU, June 16: DCBL Bank Limited has opened its fifth branch at Bhairahawa in Rupandehi district. Krishna Lal Maharjan inaugurated the new branch on Tuesday through the Internet from Kathmandu.



Meanwhile, the bank is currently issuing equity shares on rights basis to existing shareholders in the ratio of 2:1. After issuance of the rights shares, the paid-up capital of the bank will stand at Rs 1.66 billion.



The bank is raising its capital as per the central bank´s requirement to increase the capital base to Rs 2 billion by the end of next fiscal year.
