At least 12 hospitals in the Kathmandu Valley have announced to stop admitting COVID-19 patients for treatment 


KATHMANDU, May 12: The Grande International Hospital has announced to stop admitting COVID-19 patients for treatment, citing the lack of medical oxygen at the hospital.

“The hospital is facing an acute shortage of oxygen and the government is providing only 100 oxygen cylinders per day so we cannot admit any new COVID-19 patients to the hospital,” reads a notice issued by the hospital.


The hospital has also assured to provide its best service to its customers once the supply of oxygen gets smooth.


With this, at least 12 major hospitals in the Kathmandu Valley have stopped admitting COVID-19 patients as they have run out of medical oxygen.
