Govt won’t obstruct CIAA from taking action against anyone involved in corruption: PM Oli

KATHMANDU, Feb 10: Prime Minister KP Sharma Oli has maintained that the government will not stop the Commission of Investigation for Abuse of Authority (CIAA) from taking action against anyone involved in corruption and abuse of authority.

KATHMANDU, Feb 10: Prime Minister KP Sharma Oli has maintained that the government will not stop the Commission of Investigation for Abuse of Authority (CIAA) from taking action against anyone involved in corruption and abuse of authority.


Addressing a program organized to mark the 30th anniversary of the anti-graft body, Prime Minister Oli said that the main objective of the CIAA is to carry out investigation in a fair and impartial manner. “There will be no political or governmental interference in the works of the CIAA,” Oli added.

PM Oli also urged the anti-graft body to carry out action against corrupt people without any hesitation.


Meanwhile, PM Oli praised CIAA for its satisfactory action and dedication to control corruption in Nepal. “I am dedicated to eliminating corruption in Nepal. I will continue working to that end,” he added.
