KATHMANDU, Feb 28: The Chief Commissioner of Commission for Investigation for Abuse of Authority (CIAA), Prem Rai, has said that the anti-graft body won’t take action against anyone on prejudice and vengeance.
Addressing an event organized at the headquarters of the Commission on Saturday, Rai committed to taking action based on facts and evidence. “CIAA won’t function on someone’s personal interest and prejudice,” he added.

Commissioner Rai also vowed to maintain transparency and accountability within the Commission while taking any actions against corruption in the country. “CIAA will carry out historic moves against corruption during my tenure,” said Rai.
Likewise, the Commissioner urged everyone to cooperate with the anti-graft body in controlling and minimizing corruption across the country.
Former Home Secretary Prem Rai was sworn in as the chief commissioner of the Commission for the Investigation of Abuse of Authority (CIAA) on February 3 by Chief Justice Cholendra SJB Rana along with 45 other individuals appointed in various constitutional bodies.
