KATHMANDU, Nov 4: The government has warned of taking action as per the law if violent activities are found occurring in the name of election boycott.

Minister for Information and Communications, Poudel, expressed the belief that the CPN-Maoist would not carry out activities foiling the Constituent Assembly (CA) election as it is a responsible party of the country.

Stating that the CA election would in no way be postponed, Minister Poudel said that it was not rightful for raising questions on the issue of security regarding the incident of attack on a few vehicles at a time when candidates and political parties are using thousands of vehicles in election campaign.

Minister Poudel informed that the news regarding submission of report by the Nepal Army to the government saying that it would not be able to provide security in the election was wrong.

He said that the government is confident that the CPN-Maoist would not obstruct and organise banda as the election is not only linked with constitution but is also linked with socio-economic development of the country.
