KATHMANDU, Aug 19: The government has transferred five Additional Inspector Generals (AIGs) of Nepal Police.
Shyam Gyawali, who coordinated the investigation of the case of fake Bhutanese refugee scam, has been transferred to the Administrative Department at the Nepal Police Headquarters. AIG Deepak Thapa at the Administration Department has been transferred to replace Gyawali.
Similarly, AIG Sandeep Bhandari of the Human Resources Department has been transferred to the National Police Academy.

Tek Prasad Rai has been brought to the Human Resources Department. Rai expressed his displeasure to the Inspector General of Police (IGP) Basant Bahadur Kunwar over his early transfer without any reasons, but his complaint was not heard.
