Govt to take concessional loans of USD 100 million from ADB

The government has decided to take concessional loans of US $100 million (approximately Rs 14.25 billion) from the Asian Development Bank (ADB) for the Public Financial Management Reform and Service Delivery Transfer Program.

KATHMANDU, October 11: The government has decided to take concessional loans of US $100 million (approximately Rs 14.25 billion) from the Asian Development Bank (ADB) for the Public Financial Management Reform and Service Delivery Transfer Program.

A cabinet meeting held on Thursday decided to take borrowing as a supplement to the government budgetary system from one of the main donor organizations. For this purpose, the government is set to form a negotiation team to be led by a joint-secretary at the Ministry of Finance.
