Govt to provide grants to families displaced by disasters

KATHMANDU, Sept 30: The government has decided to provide grants for families who have lost their houses to the recent monsoon-induced disasters for the construction of temporary housing.

KATHMANDU, Sept 30: The government has decided to provide grants for families who have lost their houses to the recent monsoon-induced disasters for the construction of temporary housing.


The National Disaster Risk Reduction and Management Executive Committee, chaired by Home Minister Ramesh Lekhak, decided in a meeting held on Monday to provide grants to families displaced by disasters for building temporary shelters.

The meeting also resolved to intensify search and rescue operations in areas affected by the recent three days of continuous rainfall.
