Govt to hold talks with agitating 33 parties on Tuesday

KATHMANDU, Aug 12: In view of the approaching Constituent Assembly election, the government is to hold talks with the agitating 33 political parties, including the CPN-Maoist, on Tuesday.



According to Minister for Information and Communications, Madhav Prasad Poudel, the government was holding talks with the 33 political parties at Hotel Himalaya of Kupandol, Lalitpur, at 12 noon on Tuesday. The 33 parties were invited for the talks, he added. [break]



The personal secretariat of the Information Minister said that the government would acquire information about the demands raised by the agitating parties in the meeting. Home Minister Madhav Prasad Ghimire, Information Minister Poudel and Minister for Local Development Bidyadhar Mallik are attending the talks from government´s side.
