Govt to accept eight million dollar grant from South Korea

KATHMANDU, Sept 8: The Government of Nepal has decided to accept a grant of 8 million US dollars (about 1 billion rupees) for the implementation of a project related to the stable reintegration of laborers who have returned from South Korea.

KATHMANDU, Sept 8: The Government of Nepal has decided to accept a grant of 8 million US dollars (about 1 billion rupees) for the implementation of a project related to the stable reintegration of laborers who have returned from South Korea.


Gyanendra Bahadur Karki, Nepal Government Spokesperson and Minister of Communication and Information Technology, said that the cabinet meeting held on September 6 decided to accept the grant from the South Korean government.

He said that Tuesday's Cabinet meeting decided to nominate Nepali Congress MP Rajendra Kumar KC and CPN United Socialist MP Krishnalal Maharjan as members of the Privatization Committee.


The Council of Ministers meeting also decided to form a negotiation team for the meeting of the Nepal-India Commerce Secretary-level Inter-Governmental Committee and the Joint-Secretary-Level Inter-Governmental Sub-Committee.
