SARLAHI, Oct 3: A staff at Land Revenue Office has been arrested with Rs 1.22 million in bribe from Malangawa, the district headquarters of Sarlahi district.
A team from Commission for the Investigation of Abuse of Authority (CIAA) arrested non-gazetted first class officer Naresh Raya.
According to CIAA Contact Office Bardibas, Raya had taken bribe from ten people at the rate of Rs 10,000 claiming that he would prepare land ownership certificates for them.
The CIAA team arrested Raya red-handed from his rented room at Malangawa-10.
