Govt increases budget for Constituency Development Fund

KATHMANDU, May 29: The government has increased the budget for Constituency Development Fund from current Rs 40 million to Rs 60 million.

While unveiling the fiscal year budget 2019/20 in the Federal Parliament, Finance Minister Yubaraj Khatiwada, announced that the government will allocate Rs 60 million to each of the total 165 directly elected lawmakers of the House of Representatives.


It needs a total of Rs 9 billion budget for the Constituency Infrastructure Development Program. Earlier it was Rs 40 million for each constituency. Parliamentarians gets raise on the budget for their constituency program.
