KATHMANDU: Months after its agreements with nearly a dozen agitating political parties, minority and racial groups before the election of the Constituent Assembly in last April, the government has finally geared up to implement its promises to them, including Madhesi Janadhikar Forum (MJF), one of ruling parties.

As a first step toward implementing the agreements inked in different times, the government has formed an committee comprising ministers Janardan Sharma from CPN (Maoist) , Astha Laxmi Shakya of CPN-UML and Renu Yadav, Madhesi People´s Rights Forum. The committee´s task is to oversee implementaion of all past pledges.

"The committee is starting its works from this week," said a senior government official told Republica.
