KATHMANDU, Oct 28 : While the MPRF-D was making its manifesto public, Kameshwar Sah, an engineer with the Department of Roads and Construction, a government agency, joined the program, which is a severe breach of the election code of conduct.

When asked why he, a government officer, joined the program, Sah said, “Any government official belonging to the hill community breaching the electoral code of conduct is acceptable to all, but my presence at the party function is categorized as violation of code of conduct just because of my identity.” [break]

He insisted that he did not violate any code of conduct. “Apart from being a government officer, I am also a Nepali citizen. I have joined the function as a common Nepali,” added Sah. He further said that every civil service officer is affiliated to a sister organization of a political party.

Meanwhile, MPRF-D general secretary asked the media persons to focus on the manifesto and not deviate from the agenda of the program.
