Govt encouraging industrialists: Home Minister Khand

SIDDHARTHANAGAR, March 6: Home Minister Balkrishna Khand has said the government is encouraging industrialists. “Private sectors’ trust in the state will be kept intact. Private sectors have a tremendous role in state functioning,” he said.

SIDDHARTHANAGAR, March 6: Home Minister Balkrishna Khand has said the government is encouraging industrialists. “Private sectors’ trust in the state will be kept intact. Private sectors have a tremendous role in state functioning,” he said.


Addressing the 63rd annual general assembly of Siddhartha Chamber of Commerce on Saturday, Home Minister Khand expressed worry over increased import of petroleum products. According to him, MCC compact for the electricity transmission could help augment electricity production and its use and reduce import of petroleum products.

Home Minister Khand further claimed that the MCC compact would foster development in the country. With the endorsement of the compact, it has avoided a dollar crisis.


On a different note, he assured government assistance for shifting district jail.


On the occasion, former minister Ghanashyam Bhushal reminded that private sectors had an important role in the national economy since ancient times.


The businesspersons including Bhishma Prasad Neupane, Krishna Prasad Sharma, Ramu Shanghai Mahendra Kumar Shrestha shared that the private sector was dented much by the COVID crisis, so a special package of relief was needed from the government side.
