Govt employees call off agitation in Parsa

PARSA, Nov 30: Striking government employees in Parsa district have called off their agitation.



They had launched protests against the slapping of the then Parsa Chief District Officer Durga Prasad Bhandari by State Minister for Agriculture and Cooperatives Karima Begum.



A two-point agreement has been reached with the local administration last evening during a meeting held among the government staff, political parties and Parsa CDO Yadav Koirala.



Koirala said they have agreed to arrest Begum as she comes to Parsa and keep high the morale of government employees.



Superintendent of Police Subodh Ghimire, local political leaders, representatives of civil society and media persons were present in the meeting.
