KATHMANDU, July 21: A second round meeting between the representatives of Dr Govinda KC, who has been staging a fast-unto-death since last 12 days demanding reforms in the medical sector and the impeachment of Chief Commissioner of the Commission for the Investigation of Abuse of Authority (CIAA), and the government team has started at the Ministry of Education.
Earlier, the government team had visited Maharajgunj-based Tribhuvan University Teaching Hospital (TUTH) to take stock of the health condition of Dr KC. The team has initiated the meeting at the Health Ministry after listening to the demands and stance of Dr KC.

Act, withdrawal of the bill related to the Manmohan Memorial Institute Of Health Sciences which is sub-judice in the Parliament, appointment of a dean at the vacant post of the IOM, among others,
The government formed a tree-member talks team comprising Secretary at the Prime Minister’s Office Kamalshali Ghimire and Education Secretary Bishwa Prakash Pandit under the coordination of Secretary at the Health Ministry Shenendra Raj Uprety, to address the demands of Dr KC on Wednesday.
Similarly, in the team representing Dr KC are his aides Jiwan KC, Suman Acharya, Dr Anjani Kumar Jha, Dr Rijan Maharjan led by Dr Ranjan Sapkota.
