The office has directed the Ministry of Commerce and Supplies to suspend the purchase delivery order (PDO) of those gas industries found not distributing consumers´ cards and developing red and blue color gas cylinders within mid-June.
Similarly, the government has decided not to give subsidy on cooking gas cylinders to those consumers not taking the consumers´ cards within June 14.
Besides, the Office has appealed to all the bodies to help ensure ease distribution of consumers´ cards and disseminate the matters. According to the Office, the number of cooking gas consumers has reached 958,671. The Nepal Oil Corporation has been authorized for the verifications of 318,949 consumers´ cards.
It may be noted that the government has planned for bringing red and blue cooking gas cylinders into practice for business and household purposes.
