The MOFA has reiterated Nepal’s stand on complete elimination of chemical weapons. “Nepal stands for complete elimination of chemical weapons from the world once and for all, including the destruction of the remaining stockpiles anywhere in the world,” reads the statement.

Similarly, the government has welcomed the recent agreement on a framework between the US and Russia on the destruction of Syria’s chemical weapons. The government has expressed hope that the United Nations will be able to take appropriate measures for the peaceful resolution in Syria case.
