Govt airlifting Dr KC to Kathmandu against his will

JUMLA, July 19: The government has decided to forcefully airlift Dr Govinda KC to Kathmandu against his will.



Preparations are underway to airlift him to Kathmandu. A helicopter is flying to Jumla from Kathmandu to this effect, said sources at Karnali Academy of Health Sciences.

Police have been deployed in the Hospital area to this end. 


Senior Orthepedic Surgeion Dr KC has been on a fast-unto-death for the last 20 days in Julma, demanding reforms in the medical sector. 


Talking to journalist over audio text, agitating KC has termed the government’s act as ‘kidnapping style’.


“If the government is serious about my health condition, it must fulfill my demands. I will end my hunger strike immediately. I am on a fast-unto-death since the last 20 days demanding reforms in the medical sector at the lap of Chandannath Baba. Until my demands are fulfilled, I will be continuing my strike from Karnali Academy of Health Sciences,” KC said over an audio text.
