Government firm on its stand: DPM Mainali

KATHMANDU, July 14: Deputy Prime Minister and Minister for Women, Children and Social Welfare, CP Mainali, has argued that the present government did not cower before any foreign interference but remained firm on extolling national sovereignty.

KATHMANDU, July 14: Deputy Prime Minister and Minister for Women, Children and Social Welfare, CP Mainali, has argued that the present government did not cower before any foreign interference but remained firm on extolling national sovereignty.




Conferring the WAI WaI Education Award at a program organized jointly by the Ajawako Awaja Media and Shikshyalaya monthly here today, DPM Mainali said the divine views of Prithvi Narayan Shah were still relevant in Nepal. He argued that Prithvi Narayan Shah had said- Be aware of the southern neighbor and do agreements with northern neighbor.




Also the General Secretary of the CPN-ML, CP Mainali, said the Oli-led government did not kneel before the Indian blockade but worked effectively for the people.

He urged the new generation to protect and promote Nepal's sovereignty.




Various institutions and persons contributing to the education sector were honored and awarded at the program.




The honored personalities were Chairperson of Legislature-Parliament's committee on women, children, senior citizens and social welfare, Ranju Kumari Jha, Vice-Chairman of then Higher Secondary Education Board, Chaitanya Sharma, Executive Director at Curriculum Development Centre, Baburam Poudel, and President of University Teachers' Association, Prof Yogendra Narayan Badbariya, Principal at Ratnarajya Laxmi Campus, Dr Gita Kharel.




On the occasion, the Education Journalism Award was conferred on journalists Sudarshan Sigdel, Kokila Khadka and Makar Shrestha. RSS
