KATHMANDU, July 31: The Parliamentary International Relations and Labor Committee has directed the government to maintain the road leading to Guheswari temple in between Pashupati temple and the Tribhuvan International Airport as a pedestrian road.

The direction comes in wake of the preparation by UNESCO to keep the Pashupati heritage site in black list if the road was not closed for motors.

The Committee Chair Prabhu Shaha also directed the line Ministry--the Ministry of Culture, Tourism and Civil Aviation to submit within a month a report on the progress of the directives it issued earlier for the development of Pashupati, Lumbini and Janakpur heritage sites.

The meeting of the Committee today also discussed the issue of the change in the shareholdings of Gokarna Golf Resort. A decision was taken to invite other stakeholders including the Nepal Trust Office officials to hold further deliberations on the matter in the next meeting. RSS
