BUTWAL, July 7: Minister for Foreign Affairs, Pradeep Kumar Gyawali, has said the government has been successful in creating a 'base for prosperity' in the very first year of its establishment.

Full implementation of the constitution and establishment of federalism were other significant achievements of the government, he added. "The government succeeded in enacting laws to establish people's fundamental rights and all the local governments are operating actively and federalism is in the position of moving ahead independently," the minister said during a meeting with party's leading cadres organised by the CPN Butwal Sub Metropolis Committee.

As he said, prosperity was the major mission of the government. According to him, the government has both opportunities and responsibilities to address the people's large expectations. It has people's massive support as well and is committed to addressing their aspirations. Stating a delay-dallying in the working culture in bureaucracy remained as a hurdle in the pace of government's performance, he said the incumbent government would complete the historic mandate at any cost.

Despite intra-party discussions and debate on ideological issues, the party has a clear view on following the course of people's multi-party democracy.
