BIRATNAGAR, May 18: Nepali Congress President Sher Bahadur Deuba has accused the government of failing to come up with a single work of substantive value in favor of the people.

Talking to media persons at Biratnagar Airport today, the president of the main opposition claimed that people were exasperated by the government performance.

He assured that the party would not allow the passage of the bills registered in the parliament with the aim of attaching a string to freedom of the press and curtailing the human rights. “The bills must be withdrawn and the NC will strongly oppose if any force is used to pass them. We will not allow the endorsement under any circumstances.”

NC president Deuba advised the government to bring the budget for the upcoming fiscal year in consultation with and consent of opposition parties. He warned of opposing the budget if it was brought unilaterally and without addressing the demands of opposition parties. The leader of the main opposition claimed the party was playing its role in the parliament effectively.

He pledged the general convention of the party on time, adding that the party’s awareness campaign sent positive message to the public nationwide, infusing a new hope and fresh energy to the party.
