The aircraft is manufactured by LET Aircraft Industries based in Czech Republic.
Issuing a statement, the airline said the new aircraft was bought at the cost of Rs 600 million.
The 19-seater aircraft will resume commercial operation after completing necessary procedures from Civil Aviation Authority of Nepal, according to company officials. It has received 9N-AKZ call-sign from CAAN.
Goma Air's Captain Ang Dorje Sherpa of Goma Air and manufacturing company's Captain Vladmir Fleger flew the aircraft to Nepal.
"We have fulfilled the promise that we had made with our valued customers while importing the first LET 410 aircraft in October last year. The satisfaction of our customers after experiencing LET 410 and the immense market has encouraged us to import the second aircraft in such a short period," said Bikash Rana, chairman of Goma Air, said.
The company plans to operate flights to Jomsom (Mustang) and Humde (Manang) from Pokhara and add more flights to Lukla from its second aircraft.
Goma Air is currently operating regular and chartered air services on airfields in remote hilly areas like Lukla, Surkhet, Bajura, Rara, Dolpa, Jumla, and Humla with LET410 aircraft and two Cessna Grand Caravan aircraft.
"The addition of new aircraft will not only enhance the image of Goma Air but the image of Nepali aviation industry as a whole. Now the customers do not have to travel in old aircrafts due to lack of option. They can fly in new aircraft with all the safety features available in modern jets," Manoj Karki, managing director of Goma Air, said.
Karki said that company plans to import two more LET410 aircraft to extend its services. "We have already started preparations for that," added Karki.
LET 410 has received certification from European Aviation Safety Agency (EASA). It is equipped with all state of the art equipment and navigational aids which will ensure safe air travel, according to the company.
More than 350 LET 410 UVP-E20 aircraft are flying in more than 50 countries around the world.
