KATHMANDU, April 15: Nepali market saw a sharp fall in gold price on Monday in the wake of continual decline in gold price in international market since last week.

Gold is being traded at Rs 52,500 per tola today, Rs 3,300 less than Sunday’s Rs 55,800 per tola in the domestic market. The price of the yellow metal had hit a record high of Rs 61,800 per tola in September last year. [break]

This decline in gold price in the domestic market has been attributed to its failing price in the international market. *Today gold was traded at USD 1,450 per *troy ounce in international market, which is USD 160 less than Friday’s USD 1,560 per *troy ounce.
